Five star qualmark recognition for luxury apartments in Paihia
- 19/11/04
Sanctuary Palms, based in Northland at Paihia, has received a five star
Qualmark rating in the category 'self contained & serviced'. The five
star rating stands for 'Exceptional. Among the best available in New
Zealand'
Sanctuary Palms contains three apartments each with their own individual
character: The Moulin Rouge Suite, the Pacifika Suite and the Waterfall
Suite.
The first thing you will notice upon entering the Moulin Rouge Suite are
the original artworks by Kate Watson. All the paintings have musical and
Moulin Rouge style themes and emphasise the atmosphere of the
apartment. The apartment style is described as "sophisticated elegance
with a contemporary license".
The Moulin Rouge suite features a spacious lounge with elegant
comfortable couches and seats, library and music corner, dining area and
fully equipped kitchen with stainless steel appliances.
The separate bedroom has a king sized sleigh bed with high quality
cotton bed linen and feather pillows. The bathroom features the
Sanctuary Palms signature spa bath, candles and bathrobes.
In Northland there are only five properties with a Qualmark five star
rating in the 'self contained & serviced` grouping. Qualmark is New
Zealand tourism's official assurance agency. It provides the only
internationally recognised, independent assessment of tourism products
and services in New Zealand. Qualmark looks thoroughly at a business
before it gives a rating. Areas that are assessed are buildings,
grounds, gardens, parking, interior décor, furniture and fittings. Other
areas they look at are cleanliness, service and hospitality, safety and
security, customer satisfaction and overall business practices.
Owners Rob and Raewyn Wilson are proud of their achievement: "It's been
a year now since we opened Sanctuary Palms, and it has been a busy year.
We've had lots of guests staying, we built a new office, added another
waterfall, and altered the driveway to secure easier access to the three
apartments. We are over the moon that our efforts have been rewarded
with the five stars."
Comments in the guestbook back the qualmark rating:

Johnson, Australia.
"Luxury at its best" - Mark & Tracy Weber, England.
"Brad didn't want to leave. In fact he might be still here. Check the
